ABOUT US
Our story:
Everything began in March 2017, when Adam from Czech Republic travelled to Sri Lanka with his friends and he met Dushan, who was their tour guide. They became great friends quickly and they found out they have the same dream. Adam wanted for a long time to run a little resort in some Asian country and Dushan wanted the same. Dushan had a very promising land next to Mahamodara lake with beautiful nature and animals around and many years experience from the hotel industry. Adam had some savings and great ideas, so they started building. Two years later Adam made a presentations about Nature Cabanas on his university in Prague and he met Vojta who loved this idea and after some time joined the business also. Together we build total of 8 rooms, swimming pool, bar and new big floating restaurant. All with using maximum natural materials, trying to avoid plastics, not cutting down trees and keeping our animal neighbours in peace. Now Adam travels between Czech Republic and Sri Lanka and handle the markeing side, while Dushan is managing the hotel and is taking care of our customers with the help of his lovely wife Harshani and his little son Resandu.
We have many happy and returning guests from the Czech Republic, Europe and all over the world. Beside accomodation and restaurant we can prepare several days trips around Sri Lanka.
Accommodation in nature:
Comfortable and cozy accommodation in fully equipped rooms with air conditioning, mini bar, own bathroom and other accessories. We have 8 rooms, swimming pool, bar and lounge area for all guests. Part of the resort is a small island with a cabana (bungalow) between trees with a romantic view of the lake and it's own small private pool.
Floating restaurant:
Traditional Sri Lankan dishes, from classic rice & curry, kottu rotti, fish and seafood to vegetarian or international dishes. Meals are served on our floating restaurant, where you can see monkeys, water monitors, iguanas, squirrels, fruit bats, kingfishers and many other beauties of Sri Lanka.
